Establishment of a Research and Training Complex at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna

- The Cabinet, on the 6th of April 2016 had granted approval to enter into the relevant agreements for obtaining a grant of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for the establishment of a Research and Training Complex at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna. Subsequently, agreements on consultancy services have been entered into with consultancy firms for the implementation of the relevant projects. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Lakshman Kiriella, the Minister of Higher Education and Highways, to authorize the Secretary to his Ministry to enter into an agreement with the contractor selected by the consultancy firms following the Grant Aid procurement guidelines of the JICA, in accordance with the conditions in the Grant Agreement, was approved by the Cabinet.
