Upgrading of Operating Theatres and Intensive Care Units under the Austrian Soft Loan

- A project has been designed to provide Anesthetic Machines, Ventilators for ICU, Blood Gas Analyzers, Endoscopes, Operation Theaters and Networks of Mobile Lights to the identified government hospitals with the objective of enhancing the health facilities of the people. The Government of Austria has agreed to provide a soft loan of 9.58 Euro million for the purpose through a Bank of Austria. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Niroshan Perera, the Acting Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to enter into Agreements to obtain the said loan, was approved by the Cabinet.
