Construction of the Office of the Medical Officer of Health (MOH) at Wadugoda, Payagala

- Taking into consideration, the MOH Offices presently available in the Kalutara District and the population in the Payagala area, the construction of a MOH Office has become a matter of importance for focusing special attention on the implementation of specially the programmes pertaining to maternal and child health, non communicable deceases and dengue prevention. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine to construct a MOH Office in the Wagugoda area in Payagala, was approved by the Cabinet.
