The establishment of a 'Sri Lanka Cultural Centre' in New Delhi

- Sri Lanka is a unique country rich in various resonating cultural aspects originating from within the country itself. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Foreign Affairs to conduct discussions with the relevant authorities of India to obtain a sufficient block of land to set up a 'Sri Lanka Cultural Centre' in New Delhi to utilize it as a venue to promote the unique cultural identity of Sri Lanka through Sri Lankan dance performances and Sri Lankan music, inclusive of the Sri Lankan traditional arts and crafts, was approved by the Cabinet.
