Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Sri Lankan Presidential Task Force for the Prevention of Chronic Kidney Disease and the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization to conduct studies and research on the Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown Etiology

- It has been found that the Chronic Kidney Disease of Unknown Etiology is now prevalent in 60 Divisional Secretariat Divisions of 11 Districts. The Cabinet noted that during the state visit of H.E. the President to Australia from 24th of May to 26th of May, H.E. the President has signed the MoU between the Sri Lankan Presidential Task Force for the Prevention of Chronic Kidney Disease and the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization to obtain assistance of Nephrologists in Australia and make use of the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology infrastructure facilities to carry out studies and research pertaining to the disease.
