Memorandum of Understanding entered into between the Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy (SLCARP) and the Malaysia Agricultural Research Development Institute (MARDI) for development of human resources of Agricultural Scientists in the National Agricultural Research Systems

- During the official visit of H.E. the President to Malaysia in the year 2016, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been entered into between the Sri Lanka Council for Agricultural Research Policy (SLCARP) and the Malaysia Agricultural Research Development Institute (MARDI) for development of human resources of Agricultural Scientists in the National Agricultural Research Systems. In accordance with the MoU an opportunity has been created to enhance the technical corporation between the two parties and also to produce scientists with post graduate degrees. In order to enable the release of the required provision from the General Treasury for the implementation of the programmes agreed upon, the Cabinet granted covering approval for the signing of the relevant MoU as proposed by Hon. Duminda Dissanayake, the Minister of Agriculture.
