Extradition Treaty between Sri Lanka and the People’s Republic of China

- During the official visit of the Hon. Prime Minister to China last year, an extradition treaty has been entered into between Sri Lanka and the People's Republic of China for mutual extradition of persons convicted in a court of law. Accordingly, the reference made by H.E. the President, Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence, in relevance to the signing of the extradition treaty, was approved by the Cabinet.
