Concessional Financial Assistance from Finland

- The Government of Finland had provided Concessional Financial Assistance to implement several development projects in Sri Lanka from 1983 to 2006 and has expressed its willingness to provide Concessional Financial Assistance once again to Sri Lanka under its Public Sector Investment Facility Programme. Accordingly, the proposal made by the Hon. Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to sign an Agreement with the Government of Finland to obtain a loan of up to Euro 30 million to be utilized for financing the development projects in Sri Lanka, was approved by the Cabinet.
