Construction of a two-storey Headquarters Building for the establishment of the Security Force Headquarters (Central)

- The Security Force Headquarters (Central) established at Diyathalawa in the year 2013 provides security to the Central and Uva Provinces and also to a part of the Southern Province. It also plays a dominant role during urgent disaster situations and also in providing security at times of need. Therefore, the proposal made by H.E. the President, Maithripala Sirisena in his capacity as the Minister of Defence to construct a two storey building at the Security Force Headquarters (Central) premises, to establish the above Headquarters which is now being conducted amidst various inconveniences in the buildings belonging to the training school of the Volunteer Force situated at Diyathalawa, was approved by the Cabinet.
