Construction of the Phase-II of the Accident and Emergency Medical Treatment Unit at the General Hospital, Kalutara

- The construction work of the Accident and Emergency Medical Treatment Unit of the General Hospital, Kalutara which is the premier hospital in the Kalutara District had commenced in the year 2015. As of now, the construction work of Phase-I of the building is being carried out and Phase-II which includes the construction work of the third and the fourth floor needs to be commenced expeditiously. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senaratne, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, to award the contract for Phase-II of the project on Design and Built basis to the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau and the Engineering Services (Pvt.) Ltd., was approved by the Cabinet.
