Approval of the Convention of the United Nations on Electronic Communications for International Agreements - Amendments to the Electronic Transactions Act, No.19 of 2006

- The proposal made by Hon. Harin Fernando, the Minister of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure, to publish, the amended Electronic Transactions Act, No.19 of 2006 drafted by the Legal Draftsman in accordance with the approval granted by the Cabinet, to give effect to the provisions providing for in the United Nations Convention in respect of the use of Electronic Communications in the International Agreements in Sri Lanka, in the Government Gazette and subsequently, present it in Parliament, was approved by the Cabinet.
