Conducting a survey to ensure the accuracy for introduction of an analysis equipment using Japanese technology to instantly analyze the ingredients in Tea

- The Japanese International Corporation Agency and the Kawasaki Kiko Co, Ltd., of Japan have expressed their willingness to introduce an analysis equipment to Sri Lanka using Japanese technology to instantly analyze the ingredients in Tea. For this purpose, a survey has been planned to be conducted in Sri Lanka to suitably upgrade an analysis equipment which has already been developed to ensure its accuracy. The Sri Lanka Tea Research Institute and the Sri Lanka Tea Board will function as the collaborating institutions of Sri Lanka. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Navin Dissanayake, the Minister of Plantation Industries to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the aforesaid institutions, was approved by the Cabinet.
