Completion of the balance work of the project for improving the College of Technology, Ampara

- The College of Technology Ampara functions under the Department of Technical Educational and Training and presently, the College conducts training programmes for National Vocational Qualification Levels 3, 4, 5, and 6 for which the annual enrollment of students stand at 1000 approximately. With a view to developing the infrastructure facilities of this college, a few buildings have been constructed under the 'Deyata Kirula' Development Programme held in the year 2013 under which lecture halls and the hostel had been partially completed. In accordance with the recommendations made by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Management in this respect, the proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Samarasinghe, the Minister of Skills Development and Vocational Training, to complete the balance work utilizing the provision set a part by the Budget of 2017, was approved by the Cabinet.
