Purchasing of the required material (Sarees) to provide uniforms for Dhamma School female preceptors - 2017

- The Government is implementing the provision of uniforms for Dhamma School preceptors who are working voluntarily in the Dhamma Schools in the Island since the year 2004. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Wijayadasa Rajapaksa, the Minister of Buddhasasana, to purchase 72,000 hand-loom sarees with blouse material directly from the Department of Textile Industry to be distributed among the Dhamma School female preceptors for the year 2017, was approved by the Cabinet.
