Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Governments of the Member States of the Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) for the promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)

- At the second conference of the Ministerial Economic and Business Conference of the Member States of the Indian Ocean Rim Association, hosted in Dubai on 11 - 13 April 2016, it has been decided to sign a Memorandum of Understanding among the Member States for the promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises. The benefits of this MoU is the promotion of corporation among the Small and Medium Enterprises of the Member States, and widening of the opportunities among them for acquiring appropriate technology and investment. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Rishad Bathiudeena, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, to sign the above MoU on behalf of Sri Lanka, was approved by the Cabinet.
