Construction and Operation of Two Airport Hotels at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake

- The Cabinet of Ministers considered the rapid growth of passengers who pass through the Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake, and granted approval on 2016.05.10 to call for bids and select suitable investors to construct two hotels of star category with a minimum of 100 rooms in two land lots owned by the Airport and Aviation Services of BIA, Katunayake. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Nimal Siripala De Silva, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation to award the above contract for the Construction and Operation of two Air Port hotels on a 40 year lease to E.C.M Libra Financial Group Berhad, Malayasia and T.P Real Estate Holdings (Pvt) Ltd., Singapore as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee was approved by the Cabinet.
