Progress of the Projects Implemented through the Capital Budget in the Year 2016

- The Report, prepared in accordance with the instructions given by the Cabinet of Ministers to the Secretary, Ministry of National Policies and Economic Affairs to submit a Progress Report on the projects implemented by each Ministry and the institutions under such Ministries with local and foreign funds, during the year 2016, 10 Line Ministries have utilized more than 80% of the Capital allocation set apart for them and 21 Ministries have utilized around 60% to 80% and that the overall rate of Capital Budget in 2016 is recorded as 62.3% of the total allocation. The Cabinet noted the Report including the above facts, submitted by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister, in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs.
