The Foreign Exchange Bill

- The proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to publish in the Government Gazette the 'Foreign Exchange draft Bill' prepared by the Legal Draftsman for the management and regulation of foreign exchange, to encourage the Sri Lankan Citizens living abroad to remit their money over to the country, to repeal the Exchange Control Act which is not appropriate to address the current trends and given clearance by the Attorney General, and subsequently present it in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
