Medirigiriya Water Supply Scheme Phase III - Laying of Pipes and Fitting of accessories to the Pumping Mains of Bisopura and Kumudupura Water Towers
- The Medirigiriya Water Supply Scheme Phase III valued at Rs.3,057 million is one of the 09 water supply schemes implemented under the 'Rajarata Navodaya' / 'Pibidemu Polonnaruwa' development programme. Through this project pipe borne water facilities will be provided to cover 14 Grama Niladhari Divisions of the Medirigiriya Divisional Secretary's Division. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, the Minister of City Planning and Water Supply to award the contract for the Supply and Laying of Water Pipes and Fittings, and Valves for the Pumping Mains of Bisopura and Kumudupura Water Towers as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee to the lowest substantial responsive bidder M/s Sanken Construction (Pvt.) Ltd. - Vonlan Constructions (Pvt.) Ltd. JV, at a cost of Rs.678.06 million, was approved by the Cabinet.
