Awarding the Contract for Rehabilitation of Stage 3 of Minipe Left Bank Canal under the Mahaweli Water Security Investment Programme

- Under the Stage 3 of the Minipe Left Bank Canal of the Mahaweli Water Security Investment Programme, in the Minipe Left Bank Canal of 74km in length, it has been planned to rehabilitate the Canal from 49.82 km upto 63.65 km. Accordingly, the proposal made by Maithripala Sirisena, H.E. the President, in his capacity as the Minister of Mahaweli Development and Environment, to award the relevant contract, to the lowest substantive responsive bidder, for a sum of Rs.625.73 million excluding VAT, to the Nawaloka Construction (Pvt.) Ltd. as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
