Establishment of a Project Management Unit (PMU) for the implementation of the Light Railway Transit (LRT) Lines

- The proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development for conducting a feasibility study for the proposed Light Trail Transit Line (LRT) from Colombo Port to Bambalapitiya and to Maradana via Borella and the proposed LRT from Borella to Malambe due to be constructed with the assistance of the Japan International Corporation Agency (JICA) and for the establishment of a Project Management Unit for designing and implementing the road network, was approved by the Cabinet.
