Concessional financial assistance from the Netherlands

- The Government of the Netherlands has expressed its willingness to provide financial assistance for several development projects in Sri Lanka inclusive of the construction of rural bridges, the vocational training centre in Polonnaruwa and the water supply scheme in Mirigama. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to proceed with the necessary activities to evaluate the project proposals in that regard submitted by the companies in Netherlands interested in such projects, was approved by the Cabinet.
