The Project for Upgrading of the Institute of Engineering Technology at Katunayake
- The Cabinet approval has been granted for the implementation of the project for upgrading the Institute of Engineering Technology at Katunayake with the objective of increasing the annual intake of students from 300 to 500. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Mahinda Samarasinghe, the Minister of Skills Development and Vocational Training, to vest the implementation of the project with M/s KUHN International Project GmbH CoKG of Austria, in accordance with the recommendation of the Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (CAPC), subject to a maximum of 9.5 million Euro, inclusive of the development of the required infrastructure facilities, supply of equipment and accessories, curriculum development and capacity enhancing activities, was approved by the Cabinet.
