Entering into Long Term Contracts for the purchase of petrol and diesel

- The proposal made by Hon. Chandima Weerakkody, the Minister of Petroleum Resources Development to award the long term tender for the import of 4,200,000 barrels of diesel (0.05 percentage of maximum sulphur) and 956,250 barrels of petrol (92 Unl) to M/s Swiss Singapore Overseas Pte. Ltd. of Singapore and M/s Gunvor singapore Pte. Ltd. respectively, for a period of eight (08) months commencing from 2017‑03‑01 to 2017‑10‑31, in accordance with the recommendations of the Special Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee, was approved by the Cabinet.
