Obtaining Financial Assistance from the Saudi Fund (SFD) for the implementation of the Wayamba University Township Development Project and the Mahaweli Left Bank Lower Basin Development Project

- The Saudi Fund for development has expressed its willingness to grant a concessional loan of (SAR) 273.75 Million approximately 73 American Dollors in all constituting SAR 105 million for the implementation of the Wayamba University Township Development Project and SAR 168.75 million for the implementation of the Mahaweli Left Bank Lower Basin Development Project. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Finance, to conduct loan negotiations and to enter into Agreements for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
