Registration of Electors (Special Provisions) Bill

- The proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Wijayadasa Rajapaksa, the Minister of Justice, to publish the Registration of Electors (Special Provisions) Bill drafted by the Legal Draftsman in the Government Gazette, with a view to providing special legal provisions to ensure and protect the right of voting of the internally displaced persons as well as their children and to enable them to cast their votes further in the electoral districts of their permanent residencies before they were displaced, and present same in Parliament for approval, was approved by the Cabinet.
