Census of Population and Housing - Year 2021 - Mapping Out Stage

- Sri Lanka conducts her Census of Population and Housing once in 10 years. The next Census is scheduled to be conducted in the year 2021 and for this purpose the mapping out operations based on Grama Niladhari Divisions covering the whole island has already commenced. These mapping out operations will go on until April in the year 2020 and as such, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister, in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to generate funds for the purpose, was approved by the Cabinet.
