Proposals regarding the liquidation of Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Limited (RALL)

- In accordance with the Attorney General's Advice, the Cabinet has granted approval on 2016-12-13 to liquidate Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Limited (RALL) and handover its ground security matters to the Department of Civil Security and the marine security matters to the Sri Lanka Navy. Accordingly, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence, to appoint an Officials' Committee to study the issues relating to the financial liabilities and responsibilities of the company and issues in respect of public finance and to attach the ground security personnel serving in the Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Limited to the Sri Lanka Land Reclamation and Development Services (Pvt) Ltd., owned by the Sri Lanka Land Reclamation and Development Corporation (SLLRDC) for the purpose of ensuring their job security until steps are taken for the liquidation of the RALL, was approved by the Cabinet.
