Rehabilitation of Moragoda Ela and Temple Bypass

- The International Development Association(IDA) provides a credit facility of US$ 147 million for the urban intervention of Galle and Kandy cities. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this credit be applied for the rehabilitation of Moragoda Ela and Temple Bypass in Galle district. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to award the relevant contract as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee(SCAPC) to M/s Business Promoters and Partners Engineering (Pvt) Ltd. at the contract price of Rs. 844,907,205.00, excluding VAT, was approved by the Cabinet.
