Allocation of allotments from the land at Mahenawatta, Pitipana, Homagama to the Ministry of Science, Technology & Research, the University of Sri Jayawardenapura and the University of Moratuwa

- The Urban Development Authority has taken action to acquire about 34 Hectares of land form Mahenawatta situated at Pitipana in Hamagama for the development of Science and Technology and related activities and the establishment of related institutions. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to vest approximately 46 Acre of land out of the said land to the Ministry of Science, Technology and Research, the University of Sri Jayawardenapura and the University of Moratuwa, subject to the payment of the value assessed by the Chief Valuer of the Government, was approved by the Cabinet.
