Project for the establishment of a Neonatal and Obstetrics Reference Centre for the De Soysa Maternity Hospital

- With a view to establishing a Neonatal and Obstetrics Reference Centre at the De Soysa Maternity Hospital, it has been planned to provide the essential infrastructure facilities and equipment for the hospital, as well as the facilities needed by the hospital staff. The Centre which is to be established is expected to be converted into a national level centre of excellence of infant healthcare. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister, in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to enter into Agreements with the Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank of France and the Hatton National Bank of Sri Lanka, to obtain the funds necessary for the implementation of the project, was approved by the Cabinet.
