Provision of financial facilities to the Sri Lanka Road Development Authority

- The Government has identified the Central Expressway as one of the priority projects for the improvement of connectivity and the stimulation of economic activities in the country. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Finance, to take action to obtain a term loan facility of Rs.23.2 Billion from the National Savings Bank and the Peoples Bank as required by the Road Development Authority (RDA), for the construction of the second phase (II) of the Central Expressway, was approved by the Cabinet.
