Continuation of Projects under the 'Sukitha Purawara' Township Development Programme within the Year 2017 and the Commencement of new Projects

- In the year 2016, 64 construction contracts have been awarded under the 'Sukitha Purawara' Township Development Programme implemented by the Ministry of Megapolis and Western Development, so as to cover the whole Island. As such, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to implement some of the projects which could not be completed before the end of the financial year 2016, due to various justifiable reasons and also to commence new projects identified to be implemented within the financial year 2017, was approved by the Cabinet.
