Implementation of the e-friends Project II of the Revolving Fund Loan Scheme

- The proposal made by Hon. Rishad Bathiudeen, the Minister of Industry and Commerce, for the implementation of the e-Friends II Revolving Fund utilizing the remaining funds out of the sum debited to the Revolving Fund under the Environmentally Friendly Project II Loan Scheme implemented from the year 2004 up to the year 2010 under the financial assistance provided by the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the provision of Rs.1,300 Million, set a part by the General Treasury for the year 2017 for this purpose, for waste minimization, for energy saving and for assisting the industrialists in the environment pollution control and also for formulating a suitable mechanism to ensure that the most suitable beneficiaries identified are provided with loans to achieve the objectives of this loan scheme, was approved by the Cabinet.
