Procurement of Equipment necessary for the Sri Lanka Army Contingent Deployed for Peace Keeping Operations in Mali

- The Government of Sri Lanka has made a commitment to the United Nations to deploy a contingent of Sri Lanka Army for peace keeping operations in Mali. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister, in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to enter into a Loan Agreement with a Bank of Russia known as SBERBANK, to procure the items and equipment necessary for the Sri Lanka Army Contingent, was approved by the Cabinet.
