Hosting the International Forum of the Independent Audit Regulators (IFIAR) Annual Workshop

- The Independent Audit Regulators in the World over have formed the International Forum of the Independent Audit Regulators to discuss and share information relating to oversight of Audits by its members. Sri Lanka Accounting and Auditing Standards Monitoring Board has been working as a member of the forum since the year 2007 and it has participated actively in its discussions. The IFIAR conducts a workshop every year, attended by the staff of its member organizations and accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ravi Karunanayake, the Minister of Finance, to host its Annual Workshop for the year 2018, in the month of February in Colombo, was approved by the Cabinet.
