National Human Rights Action Plan (2017-2021)

- The Cabinet has granted approval last year, for the establishment of an Inter Ministerial Committee for Human Rights with the Co-chairmanship comprising of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs; Skills Development and Vocational Training; Justice and Strategic Development and International Trade, for the preparation of 'National Human Rights Action Plan 2017-2021' and to study all facts which should be taken for consideration. The Cabinet approved, the 'Five Year National Human Rights Action Plan (2017-2021)', crafted with the consultations of the said Inter Ministerial Committee and wide participation of the relevant Stakeholders, presented by Hon. (Dr.) Harsha de Silva, the Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs.
