Construction of Quarters/Housing facilities for the Medical Officers, and the rest of the Health Services Staff in all Government Hospitals

- In terms of the Budget proposals of 2016, a proposal has been made to provide the basic accommodation requirements of Doctors and other medical staff serving in rural areas through Public Private Partnership Project. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Rajitha Senarathe, the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine, to construct government quarters for the Medical Specialists, the Medical Officers and the Internship Medical Officers and the other Health Services as well, through the Public Private Partnership Project, was approved by the Cabinet.
