Upgrading the quality of service of the passenger transportation in the three-wheelers and the student transportation in the school vans

- In terms of the Budget proposals of 2017, a proposal has been made to establish a Regulatory Authority to upgrade the quality of service of the passenger transportation in the three-wheelers and the student transportation in the school vans. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, to appoint a Committee comprising of the Ministry Secretaries, to study and propose a methodology for implementation of the proposal and submit a Report to the Cabinet, was approved by the Cabinet.
