Extension of the Expired Agreements of Furnace Oil Power Plants by 06 months

- The Cabinet of Ministers having considered the proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Siyambalapaitiya, the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, to extend the Power Purchase Agreements made between the Ceylon Electricity Board and the following companies, granted its approval to extend the Agreements up to a period of 06 months, as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Negotiating Committee, to meet the power need in the likely electricity deficit in the future due to the dry weather conditions, presently, prevailing in the country and for an uninterrupted power supply.
