Memorandum of Understanding between the Academy of Labour and Social Relations of the Russian Federation and the National Institute of Labour Studies (NILS), Sri Lanka

- The National Institute of Labour Studies (NILS) functions with the objective of conducting research and carrying out surveys and provide training to widen the field of labour studies. In fulfilling its objectives, it is also expected to work in close collaboration with local as well as the foreign institutions. As such, the proposal made by Hon. W.D.J. Seneviratne, the Minister of Labour and Trade Union Relations, to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Academy of Labour and Social Relations of the Russian Federation and the National Institute of Labour Studies in Sri Lanka, to exchange information on studies made in the field of socio-labour and to implement joint programmes and projects concerning studies in the field of labour, was approved by the Cabinet.
