Establishment of value addition centers in Sri Lanka for Vegetables and Fruits

- The Government is providing assistance to farmers and entrepreneurs to export vegetables and fruits to suit the needs of the conditions prevailing in foreign countries, targeting the global export market. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Daya Gamage, the Minister of Primary Industries, to establish 03 centres for enhancing the value addition under Public Private Partnership associated with the farms with facilities for processing, packaging and storage, was approved by the Cabinet.
