Expansion of the facilities in the Vocational Training Centre, Moneragala of the National Youth Services Council

- The Moneragala Vocational Training Centre of the National Youth Services Council was established in the year 1987 and no proper programme has since been initiated up to now for the expansion of its facilities. Therefore, the proposal made by Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, the Prime Minister in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs, to construct a new building to accommodate lecture halls in the Vocational Training Centre, Moneragala, to conduct 10 courses, with facilities for training of 250 youth, aimed at the job market for motor mechanism, construction and tourist hotel industry, was approved by the Cabinet.
