Construction of a new rail track from Kurunegala to Habarana via Dambulla

- An impact assessment has already been made on the construction of a new rail track from Kurunegala to Habarana via Dambulla. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Nimal Siripala de Silva, the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, to obtain the services of the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau (CECB), to assist the Negotiation Committee Appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers, in the Technological Proposal made by the Project Proposer which is a Chinese Engineering Company, was approved by the Cabinet.
