Accommodation for the other Rankers of the Sri Lanka Army
- Insufficient accommodation facilities available in Colombo for the staff of the Army Head Quarters and the Institutions affiliated to it and the other staff of the Army Hospital, stationed in Colombo has become a problem. As such, the proposal made by H.E. the President Maithripala Sirisena, in his capacity as the Minister of Defence, to construct a new building with accommodation facilities for other rankers as well, at the premises owned by the Sri Lanka Army situated at Manning Town, Narahenpita, at an estimated cost of Rs.239.12 Million, as a remedial measure to overcome the situation, was approved by the Cabinet.
