Award of Plant & Design - Build Contract of the Deduru Oya Water Supply Project

- The Deduru Oya Water Supply Project is implemented with the objective of providing an adequate supply of safe and reliable drinking water to a population living in 97 Grama Niladari Divisions in the Mahawa and Polpithigama Divisional Secretariat Divisions in the Kurunegala District. Under this project, it is expected to provide 18,150 house connections and more than 90,800 people will be benefited by it. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Rauff Hakeem, the Minister of City Planning and Water Supply, to award the Plant and Design Build Contract for Civil and Mechanical and Electrical work, as recommended by the Standing Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (SCAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
