Construction of a building for the Attorney General's Department

- Acknowledging that the space available at the Attorney General's Department is in adequate to conduct its affairs without hindrance, approval has been granted by the Cabinet to construct a new building within the Superior Court Complex premises itself. Accordingly, the initial work in the construction of the new building has already been completed. As such, the proposal made by Hon. (Dr.) Wijayadasa Rajapaksa, the Minister of Justice, to award the contract for the construction of the remaining part of the proposed new building as recommended by the Cabinet Appointed Procurement Committee (CAPC), was approved by the Cabinet.
