Construction of two Wind Power Plants at the Chunnakam area

- The Government has focused its attention to fulfil the greater part of the electricity demand by using renewable energy sources and in this regard, it has been proposed to construct wind power plants. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, the Minister of Power and Renewable Energy, to construct two wind power plants of 10 Mw each, in the Chunnakam area, was approved by the Cabinet.
