Protecting houses of the Sobasiripura Housing Scheme under the threat of Landslide

- The National Building Research Organization has shown that a considerable number of houses in the Sobasiripura Housing Scheme constructed in the Seethawaka Divisional Secretariat Division of the Colombo District under the 'Semata Sevena Model Villages Programme' by the National Housing Development Authority could be subject to the threat of landslide. Accordingly, the proposal made by Hon. Sajith Premadasa, the Minister of Housing and Construction, to get funds allocated from General Treasury required for taking the preliminary steps to protect the houses of the Sobasiripura Housing Scheme subject to the threat of landslide, was approved by the Cabinet.
