Allocation of a land to construct the Head Quarters of the Sri Lanka Amarapura Nikayabhiwurdhi Dayaka Sabhawa

- There are around 3,700 temples connected to the Sri Lanka Amarapura Nikaya spread throughout the country where nearly 12,000 Bikkus reside. Considering the request made by the Sri Lanka Amarapura Nikayabhiwurdhi Dayaka Sabhawa for a plot of land to build its Head Quarters, in order to extend its religious activities in the country as well as internationally, the proposal made by Hon. Patali Champika Ranawaka, the Minister of Megapolis and Western Development, to release a plot of land in extent 2 Roods and 4.2 perches, situated in the Sri Jayawardhenapura Hospital Road, owned by the Urban Development Authority, to the Sri Lanka Amarapura Nikayabhiwurdhi Dayaka Sabhawa as a free grant, was approved by the Cabinet.
